This Sunday, March 21st, City of Lusaka travel seven hours north of the capital to face Chambishi FC in game week 20 of the Eden University National First Division.
This fixture is crucial in the race for promotion as it sees fourth take on fifth in a 3pm kickoff at Chambishi Stadium.
Yamoto sit just three points ahead of Chambishi but the two sides are level on goal difference, meaning the home side would leapfrog City into the last promotion spot with a win this weekend.
Three points for City, however, could see them push higher up the table into third if results go their way as they are currently level in the standings with Kafue Celtic.
In round 19 of the season, Yamoto fought back to earn a point in a 1-1 draw at home with Nchanga Rangers, while Chambishi came away with a 1-0 loss away from home to mid-table side Trident.
The last time the two teams met was back in November for game week four at Woodlands Stadium in which City recorded a well-earned 1-0 win.
Chambishi come into this game with a record of eight wins, eights draws and four losses, having scored 18 goals and conceded 10.
Sunday afternoon has a huge role to play in the promotion hopes of Yamoto as they are just four points off top spot as it stands, with the possibility of closing that gap to just one with a successful trip to Chambishi and an upset on the cards in other fixtures.
This week the only player missing from Coach Vesko’s disposal is again winger Chisenga Lukembwa.
