Woodlands Stadium, Lusaka, on Saturday 20 February 2021, City of Lusaka FC will face Kashikishi Warriors in round 18 of the Eden University National First Division.

City are coming off the back of consecutive draws against Konkola Blades and Trident, leaving them in third position. Having just missed out on ABSA Cup qualification the City of Lusaka team need a statement result against Kashikishi Warriors tomorrow.

Yamoto have also had a noteworthy week off the field, having completed a technical reshuffle. Assistant Coach George Kapembwa, as well as five players, had their contracts terminated by the Club on Tuesday 16 February 2021.

The visiting team have also had an interesting week. Following Kashikishi’s difficult start to the season, the Club owner has moved the team’s home base to Kitwe. Although they will still play home matches from their traditional stadium, they will center their operations and training from Kitwe.

Kashikishi find themselves in 16th position on the league table, having lost two and won one of their last three games. In the first round of fixtures, City of Lusaka recorded a 2-0 victory against Kashikishi away from home.

City of Lusaka have only one player out injured for the match, winger Chisenga Lukembwa. The pressure will be on Yamoto for tomorrow’s 3pm kickoff as they seek to take the full 3 points.
