City of Lusaka drew 1-1 with Vector on Saturday 26th September 2020. The match was a catch up game scheduled by the Football Association of Zambia, to ensure that all teams finished on an even 20 matches played.
City started the match brightly, creating a number of good chances despite the poor quality of the playing surface. Going into half time the match was even at 0-0. The second half began with Vector taking the ascendancy. City were on the back foot, and Vector took advantage of their dominance with a well worked goal in the 75th minute.
However Ya Moto showed their dedication to the task and coach George Kapembwa brought on two attacking players to wrestle back control of the match. The changes made an immediate impact with Charles Katongo going close to scoring on the 80th minute mark.
However the saviour of the day would be Harry Milanzi, the enterprising winger was causing Vector massive headaches down the right hand side. Following a well placed ball over the top on the counter attack, a Vector player went sliding in with both feet and a penalty was awarded to City. Milanzi converted from the spot with a powerful penalty into the top left hand corner in the 88th minute.
The match ended 1-1 leaving City of Lusaka in second place at the end of the league season. City qualify now for the promotional playoffs to the National Division One!
